FedEx Delivery Manager: A preventer of nap disruptions

I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old…they are exhausting.  Don’t get me wrong, I love them sooo much.. but I look forward to their nap time!  What better way to have it ruined by having FedEx or UPS come knock on the door and set the dogs off barking, am I right?  As a stay at home mom and a blogger, FedEx and UPS are no strangers to my doorstep.

For a while, UPS has had a tracking service that you can sign up for called UPS My Choice.  Any time a package is headed to my address, I am alerted via email or text.  Recently, FedEx began the same type of notification service called FedEx Delivery Manager.

When you sign up for FedEx Delivery Manager, you can choose to be notified via email, text message or automated telephone call.  There are a range of options as to when you are notified too – the day before a delivery, the day of the delivery, when it has been delivered, when a package is ready to be picked up at a FedEx office or when there is a delivery exception.

I just signed up so I don’t know how well the notification service works but if it works like UPS My Choice, I will at least know ahead of time to expect FedEx on the day of a delivery.  I might be able to beat the FedEx man to my front door and prevent my boys from waking from that much needed nap :)
