When I was first pregnant, I pictured having a little girl. I imagined pink everything, princess decor, and everything else typical of having a baby girl. When my husband and I found out we were having a boy, everything changed. I had no idea what to expect, and it was like a foreign world to me. Now I live in a world of superheroes and monster trucks and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Alex turned 4 this year and it was a pretty exciting birthday for him. He is at that age where he actually has wants and preferences. For the past 9 months, he has been completely into The Avengers. Iron Man is his favorite, and Hulk is his little brother’s. When I was given the opportunity to review a costume from Costume Super Center I couldn’t resist! My little man’s birthday was around the corner and an Iron Man costume was just the thing to surprise him!
My son is on the small side so I ordered the smallest size available – 4-6. The costume fits with space to grow right now, and Alex is already planning on using it as his Halloween costume. I was pleasantly surprised that the mask is very similar to those we had seen in many stores; It is sturdy and has already held up to several hours of use. I was a little disappointed the costume didn’t have some sort of gloves, since the blasters are a widely known and major part of Iron Man’s suit. Since it was his birthday, Alex received a pretty cool set of character gloves from his grandma that had sound effects and lights to complete the outfit.
Alex couldn’t be happier! He zooms around the house in full costume and his little brother puts on his Hulk mask so they can pretend together. I have no doubts that the costume will hold up through summer and fall and fit him better by Halloween. Now we just need costumes for the rest of us and we will be ready to save the world!
