Lessons I’ve learned as a mom of boys

Being a boy mom can be challenging but it is rewarding in so many ways!

Every mommy and every child creates their own masterpiece called life.  Each parent’s relationship will be different, challenging, and magical.  But sometimes boys can be hard to understand.  Just remember this:

There will be messes.  There will be dirt.  There will be pee.  And there will be curiosity.

It started out as a foreign world to me.  I had no idea what to do when the sonogram technician told us.  I had been picturing pink, pony tails, dresses, and playing with dolls and those dreams suddenly felt shattered.  I had no idea what I was getting into and I was scared.  But now?  I am outnumbered by boys and wouldn’t change anything!  These two little boys of mine are my whole world.  They are absolutely amazing little gentlemen and I don’t know what I’d do without them!

With the first diaper change to the first girlfriend, it will be a roller-coaster ride that never ends.  There will be moments they need mommy and moments they need daddy.  There will be cuts and bruises that scare you to death but I promise you will make it through.

Let them be curious, let them make mistakes, let them be silly.  Let them live.

My favorite part of being a boy mom? Their love and craziness!
