Michael Todd Organics Skin Defender Facial Cleanser

Michael Todd Organics Skin Defender is perfect for any skin type and packs the benefits!

I have a love/hate relationship with organic beauty products.  I LOVE that they have all natural (organic, obviously) ingredients, minerals and/or oils to protect my skin, and generally have a fresh scent.  However I HATE that they usually are among the most expensive beauty products.  It’s almost always worth it though.

Michael Todd Organics Skin Defender AHA Creme Facial Cleanser is one of those that is worth checking out!  It is $22 for a 7oz bottle, which may seem expensive depending on the products you already purchase.  I am used to spending anywhere from $4-10 for a face wash so this seemed steep to me until I had a chance to try it.

The cleanser is smooth and creamy and although it doesn’t suds up like most facial cleansers, it gets the job done!  I only need one pump to wash my entire face and it washes off without leaving residue or oils behind.

Alpha Hydroxy Acid exfoliates your skin, and although this exfoliation is less noticeable than when you use a cleanser with micro scrubbers, it is much gentler on your skin.  Lemon, orange, and green tea extracts protect your skin from environmental factors.

I haven’t had to test this fact yet, but it is said that this is a tearless formula.  There are no sulfates (yay!) and it shouldn’t irritate your eyes or skin.  I have fairly sensitive skin and have found the Skin Defender cleanser to be mild and great!  As we are going transitioning through seasons, I’ve used it through Summer weather and cooler/dry Fall weather.

Since Michael Todd Organics has created such a mild cleanser, my face doesn’t dry out too much after using it, letting me also use a light moisturizer.  While I haven’t tried any moisturizers from the Michael Todd Organics line yet, I would probably choose the Moisture Lite Non-oily Hydrating Lotion.

If you are looking for a great, mild face wash that’s packed with benefits, give Skin Defender a try!
